The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, to Siemens - GSA contract # GS-06F-0033P, located at 1000 Deerfield Parkway, Buffalo Grove, IL. 60089. Siemens will provide inspection and maintenance services to the existing Fire Detection System. The current fire detection system is proprietary and may only be serviced by Siemens of Lenexa Branch. The place of performance is for the Dwight D. Eisenhower VA Medical Center located at 4101 4th Street Trafficway, Leavenworth, KS 66048 The NAICS code is 561621 - Security Systems Services (except Locksmiths), with a size standard of $22 Million. The FSS solicitation number is 36C25520Q0797. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of twelve (12) month Base year plus four option years. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations; interested parties may express their interest by providing a capabilities statement NLT November 10, 2020 at 11:00 am CST. The capabilities statement must provide clear and unambiguous evidence to substantiate the capability of the party to provide the required services. A determination not to compete this proposed contract upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. If after November 10, 2020 no viable responses have been received in response to this announcement, Department of Veterans Affairs shall negotiate solely with Siemens.
