DESCRIPTION
This pre-solicitation notice is to inform that the VA Medical Center, Bath, New York will be posting a solicitation on or about March 25th , 2026 for Renovate B76 6th floor at the Bath VA Medical Center. Project No. 528A6-19-604
The general scope of this project is to renovate roughly 8,400 square feet of the 6th floor for outpatient mental health clinics. The 6th floor also contains attic space, vertical circulation, and other back of house areas. All existing steam radiators, window AC units, ductwork, registers, grilles, and diffusers in the scope of work area will be demolished and removed from site. The steam radiator piping will be demolished back to the main and capped on the 5th floor below. Air systems solely serving the scope of work area will be demolished completely. Ductwork associated with systems serving other areas of the building in addition to the scope of work area will be demolished back to the duct riser. The new work shall include but not limited to Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and plumbing as specified by the design document, new AHU and all associated work shall be provided and installed. Installation, testing, and commissioning services for new HVAC system to the sixth floor from the attic. The project is interior renovations to the 6th Floor of the existing building. The renovations mainly include the removal of interior non-load bearing walls, ceilings, floor finishes and extensive modifications to the existing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
The total project duration for this project is 455 days. This includes all processes starting with submission and approval of all submittals and ending with final punch list.
The NAICS code is 236220 Commercial and Institutional Building Construction. The small business standard is $45.0 M. The cost range is Between $5,000,000 and $10,000,000. Information regarding the one and only site visit scheduled will be stated in the Solicitation and is estimated to be on or about 4/1/2026. A 20% Bid Bond must be submitted with the bid. Performance and Payment bonds will be required.
