The USDA uses dichlorvos (also called 2,2-dichlorovinyl demethyl phosphate or DDVP) (ID 138) in its program to manage the spongy moth. The primary use of DDVP is as a component in the pheromone baited milk carton style traps that are used primarily for surveying and monitoring spongy moth populations.
This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Part 12. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; offers are being requested, and a separate written solicitation will not be issued.
Solicitation number 12639526Q0011 is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ) for (ID 138) Large DDVP pest strips. Pest strip products containing the ingredient dichlorvos (also called 2,2-dichlorovinyl demethyl phosphate or DDVP) (ID 138). DDVP strips are a Laminate strip, 1" (25 mm) wide X 4'' (100 mm) long by 2 mm thick, these strips contain vapona (DDVP) 10% by weight (ca 0.6 g). These strips are individually packaged with 25 individual packages sealed in a larger foil packet.
This acquisition is set-aside for small business concerns. This solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses by reference. The full text of provisions and clauses may be accessed electronically at www.acquisition.gov.
The applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code is 325320 Pesticide and Other Agricultural Chemical Manufacturing. The small business size standard is 1,150. This acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. All responsible sources may submit a quotation which shall be considered by the agency.
