is issuing this request for sources sought notice in order to identify vendors that are interested in and capable of providing contractor services. Scope of Work:
Project Title: Repair of Three RF Shielded Doors
Location: Washington DC VA Medical Center, 50 Irving Street NW, Washington, DC 20422
Reference: MRI 26-163
1. Background:
The Washington DC VA Medical Center requires maintenance and repair services for three (3) RF shielded doors located within the facility. These doors are critical for maintaining the integrity of MRI operations and ensuring proper shielding.
2. Scope of Work:
Universal Shielding Corp will perform the following services:
Door 1:
Replace latching mechanism (includes bearings)
Clean, align, and lubricate the door
Door 2 & Door 3:
Replace perimeter fingerstock and sill fingerstock
Replace all bearings
Clean, align, and lubricate both doors
3. Period of Performance:
The total estimated duration for the work is approximately 4 hours per door, totaling 12 hours for all three doors.
4. Contractor Requirements:
Provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, and materials.
Perform work using two qualified technicians.
Work to be completed during overtime hours as required.
Ensure compliance with VA safety and security protocols.
5. Deliverables:
Fully functional and properly shielded RF doors.
Documentation of work performed.
