GAOA – Strawberry – Kamas Bunkhouse Renovations on the Uinta/Wasatch/Cache National Forest

In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.101-4 and 5.101, this Pre-Solicitation Notice is posted to inform the public of an impending solicitation to be issued for the construction requirement described herein and to garner interest from qualified firms in submitting a quote in response to the solicitation.  All responsible sources may submit a quote, which will be considered by the agency.

Quotes are being solicited by the USDA, Forest Service for the Strawberry-Kamas Bunkhouse Renovations project located on the Uinta/Wasatch/Cache National Forest, Wasatch & Summit Counties, Utah. Project consists of all necessary demolition, construction, and remodeling to alleviate existing housing deterioration at two Forest Service sites. The first site includes three bunkhouses and a mess hall near the Strawberry Reservoir Visitor’s Center. The second site includes two bunkhouses and two residences near the Kamas Ranger District Office.

This requirement is being solicited as a Firm-Fixed Price Request for Quotes (RFQ) under Commercial Item procedures.  The approximate start work date will be February 15, 2026.  The Government intends to post the RFP solicitation on SAM.gov, on or about December 23, 2025.  Responses will be due on January 26, 2026, unless extended through an amendment. The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000.  All future information about this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed solely through this site. Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure that they have the most up-to-date information about this acquisition.

This will be a 100% Small Business Set-Aside procurement. Interested vendors must be active in SAM.gov at the date and time quotes are due, in order to be considered for award. Quotes submitted by vendors without an active registration and without updated corporate, qualifications and responsibility information in SAM.gov, may not be considered for award.
