NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD BPA CALL
THIS IS NOT A SOLICITATION.
This synopsis is a NOTICE OF INTENT to award a BPA Call from an established BPA for Region 9 Trails and does not constitute a request for quotes or submission of any information in response to this notification. Only contractors with an active BPA for the respective zone will be eligible for this call order.
The USDA Forest Service (FS), Procurement & Property Services (PPS) is issuing this synopsis as a means of complying with the USDA’s policy in the Contracting Desk Book, section 413.303 Simplified Acquisition Methods – Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs). BPA calls over $25,000 require synopsis to the government point of entry, even if a synopsis was done at the BPA level. Exemption at FAR 5.202(a)(11) does not apply.
The USDA FS intends on awarding a BPA Call for GAOA Rockhouse Trail for the Wayne National Forest.
This procurement is restricted to the approved eligible companies.
This requirement will be awarded as a BPA Call against the Region 9 Trails Blanket Purchase Agreements previously solicited on the Government Point of Entry (GPE) at https://sam.gov/content/home. The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice.
Work includes but is not limited to: The Ironton Ranger District requires paving work to be completed on Rock House Trail at Lake Vesuvius (Lawrence County, Ohio). The work will improve approximately 2,104 linear feet of trail, addressing surface damage, improving accessibility and visitor safety, replacing water control devices, and reducing impact on high-traffic segments.
The contractor shall complete surface paving and trail tread improvements on the Rock House Trail. Work will include site preparation, drainage correction, installation of a suitable paved trail surface, compaction, and restoration of trail edges. Areas requiring tread reshaping, ditch work, tree root barrier, or culvert work shall be addressed prior to surfacing. A single sign install and bear proof garbage receptacle with concrete pad is included in this project. Trail work shall follow sustainable design practices and maintain current trail alignment..
